Nawazuddin Siddiqui Film Ghoomketu Releasing on OTT Platform Zee5

Among the ever-extending lockdown there is good news for the cinema buffs. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in Ghoomketu, a comedy-drama about an inexperienced writer played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is struggling to make his name in the Mumbai film industry.

The film also stars Anurag Kashyap in the role of a corrupt cop who is out there on a mission to find Ghoomketu.

Describing Ghoomketu as a quirky and never seen before character, Nawazuddin said he thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially as Anurag was also sharing the screen space with him.

Anurag Kashyap when asked about his experience with the film, said “Every film is a labor of love and I saw the conviction in the director of Ghoomketu and hence decided to do something which is my least favorite thing to do, which is act. The film is funny and heart-warming.”

Among other actors, there are Ila Arun, Raghubir Yadav, Swanand Kirkire and Ragini Khanna in the movie. As the story revolves around the Mumbai Film Industry, Ghoomketu also has some very special appearances from big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Chitrangada Singh, Lauren Gottlieb and filmmaker Nikhil Advani.

The director Pushpendra Nath Mishra said that “this was dream project with a stellar cast, and an amazing story told in a non-stereotypical way. Ghoomketu, as the name suggests is a story of ‘the journey to the beginning’. This film is a celebration of our family members and I am glad that it will reach the huge family audiences of ZEE5.”

Aparna Achrekar, programming head, ZEE5 said, they are proud to present Ghoomketu to the audience on this Eid. Vivek Aggarwal of phantom films said that the film has been a roller coaster ride and he was thrilled to have ZEE5 on board to release the film.
