The most famous cat-mouse duo is back after a long wait and this time Tom and Jerry have invaded a private wedding party at a plush New York Hotel. Almost after 30 years, Warner Brothers has released a 3-minute trailer of their upcoming movie which is a mix of animation and live characters.
Certainly, it’s not easy to watch the half-rendered animated characters in action with live people. Other animated characters include elephants and pigeons who are also half-rendered to match the 2 D carton feel. Honestly, it’s a little weird to see the different combinations in action and takes time to get used to. However, the trailer doesn’t reveal much but the wait would be worth it.
The supporting cast includes Chloë Grace Moretz who plays the role of Kayla. She has been hired to host an Indian wedding in the New York Hotel with an additional task of finding a solution to the ‘Mouse Problem’. Not to mention that she decides to take the service of Tom to get rid of the rodent. Well, it is clearly understood, how the story unfolds and we get to see the famous chase once again.
Tom and Jerry Film Cast
Ken Jeong, Rob Delaney, Jordan Bolger, Pallavi Sharda, and Colin Jost have provided full justice to their roles in the presence of superstars Tom and Jerry. Michael Peña plays the role of the Hotel owner and Kayla’s boss.
William Hanna, June Foray, and Mel Blanc provide voice effects for Tom and Jerry. Hanna and Joseph Barbera are the co-creators of the animated characters. The movie is being directed by Tim Story for the script written by Kevin Costello.
It’s too early to say if the concept is good or bad, but the iconic pair of Tom and Jerry can make the audience glued to their seats till the end, and that is for certain. The trailer has already showcased how Jerry outwits Tom in all cases and escapes from all traps and that’s exactly what people love to see and draw them to theaters.
